Waterhouse’s famed knight sits on the platform of Manchester’s Cornbrook tram stop whilst his lover kneels before him, inspired by Waterhouse’s ‘Lamia’ (1909). John Everett Milais’s ‘Farmer’s Daughter’ (‘Milking Time’, 1863) strolls across the streets of Manchester.
