About the piece:
This piece shows the woman’s appreciation for the simplicity and beauty of nature among a brutalist and built-up environment; the woman is so consumed by the rose’s natural beauty that her built -up, urban surroundings become insignificant. With the rose being the only element of nature in this piece, it shows how, as a society, we may have made many advancements in technology, for example, but nature remains constant and is still the most natural source of healing and beauty that we often take for granted.
