About the piece:

The graffiti and the pillars add another layer to the juxtaposition: the contemporary art and Renaissance art; two very contrasting styles of what we consider to be ‘art’. The Renaissance painting alludes to the old ideals of beauty and art and creates a stark contrast to the mundaneness of everyday life and the brutalist surroundings.
